Charlene Peruchi

Hi, I'm Charlene!

I am an illustrator and designer. I currently live in Berlin, Germany.

I was born and raised in Brazil and have been living abroad since 2020. This has made me learn a new language, get to know different cultures, visit many cities, and motivated me to follow my heart and give myself a chance to work with design and art.

During my childhood, I had a lot of contact with nature, animals and stories that my grandparents told me. They were stories of ghosts, folklore creatures and bravery. Maybe that’s why I enjoy learning about the folklore of other cultures and fictional stories so much.

I believe that by listening to these stories so much, my love for reading was born. And today, I want to create my own stories and illustrate them so that other children can read them.

I love color and light, so I love playing with them in my illustrations to create a mood. My illustrations are currently digital, created using Procreate, but I want to add more traditional media to my work. Traditional media brings textures and looseness that digital does not have.

Thank you for stopping by.

Charlene 🙂
